Cultural Changes and Political Affiliation

United States culture is splitting into two subcultures. Much of mass media (lambasted as the lame media) promotes a new cultural regime , while Fox News, Breitbart and QAnon insist on historical cultural norms (which favor white men).
Part of Neural Almost Gate involves development stages of the human mind. While researching, I stumbled onto a simple political distinction that is interesting. After a person’s mental maturation in their late 20s, language and culture play the major role in decision-making. One’s base beliefs (facts and their relationships) are set. They become the basis for future decisions.
Consider, much of mass media (including Hollywood and advertizing) has increased its acceptance of ethnic minorities, homosexuality, marijuana, unmarried mothers, and atheism. American culture is no longer monolithic. Republican and Democrats respond with opposite attitudes. Republicans reject the cultural changes, while Democrats accept them.
Of course, I’m simplifying, not considering all the citizens. But isn’t it interesting that the demarcation between the parties is given by cultural issues, not economic issues?
Will we end up with two cultures inhabiting the same land? Will they alternate in power or will they cleave into separate fiefdoms?
