Hamill Families Remaining in Antrim

   Drumdallagh is a small townland in the Parish of Loughguile, Poor Law Union of Ballymoney County of Antrim ref fin/va/5a/208.
   In 1828 in the Tithe Applotment Books for the townland we find the following;
   Ref460 Robert Hamill 7 acres 2 roods arable land with house
   Ref468 Alexander Hamill living on same land.
   Ref 469 John Hamill 1 acre 3 roods of good land
                                  4 acres 2 roods of poor land
   Ref472 Hugh Hamill no details given.
   If we move forward in time to 1864 in Griffith's valuation

we find.Drumdallagh Robert Hamill house land and outbuildings 33 acres 1 rood. Alexander Hamill rented a house on the land from Robert Hamill.
   Moving futher forward to 1901 ref354/1/14
In the census of that year no Hamills remained in Drumdallagh.
